Why You Need A Team In Multilevel Marketing

I’ve mentioned before how important a team can be when you build your MLM business without going to much detail previously, but now it’s the time to delve deeper into it. Of course, if you are already into an opportunity you already got one and would make more sense to learn how to organize a strong one for your own network, but would get to this the next time.

So let’s see how a team can benefit you.

First, what I think as most important is the Team Training. I know that most companies have training programs but they are on a basic level. If you really want to move your business to the next level you need much more. I know that some teams out there are doing a very good job at educating new distributors in their network and that’s how network marketing is supposed to work.

Unfortunately not everybody is doing it and it is a sad reality that many new members are left alone especially online. But that’s another story and I don’t want to start my rant today for the “headhunters” of the industry. If you are in that situation don’t get despaired, stick with your goals and keep fighting. You would have the chance to be the one that started a great team all by yourself.

Second, is the support that people in the team can give you. Your sponsor doesn’t know everything and may not always be available or even capable to help you, and here comes into play the rest of the upline. There may be members that know more about the problems you may be facing and can help you better than your sponsor in that situation and so they will. After all, that’s why they’re here.

Third, they are like minded people. Like you they have big dreams and goals that they dare to go after them. They believe in themselves like you do and they never discourage others from pursuing their dreams. That’s why you should spend more time with them. Unlike the rest of your environment they would always be supportive and would try to encourage you. They never going to tell you “get real, you can’t do that”.

Of course, if we are talking for a network built online, meeting them face to face regularly is not possible. But one or two online conferences with the purpose of socialization every week and giving support to each other like a mastermind group is certainly a way to go.

Fourth, they can help you in Closing Prospects. Suppose you find a prospect online but he wants to talk with you on the phone and your are scared as hell even to think about it. Instead of losing him you may use someone from your upline who loves closing on the phone. In that case you may have him with you in a 3 way call where he would do most of the talking.(Well, at least you have to say a “hi” to your prospect). There are many similar situations that other team members can be of great help in areas that you are not confident yet to handle alone.

Fifth, as a team you may pool expertise and capital for advertising and promotional purposes. I am referring to Team Co-ops which is not always about pooling money, but more on this on Friday, so stay “tuned”.
