How To Build A Strong MLM Team

We saw how important teams can be and how can help new distributors and consequently the whole network, since they increase the chances for new members to succeed. Now let’s see how can you create a strong team for your own network.

Well, the first you have to do is to become yourself the leader you always wanted to have as your sponsor. Of course, that’s easier said than done, but is doable.

Sit back and imagine the ideal leader that you would like to be your sponsor. What makes him stand out from the rest? How would react in the most common situations? What are his values? Why people want to follow him? What are his attributes? How can inspire others and gain their trust?

Write them all down and..

Congratulations you’ve got a model to follow.

But besides being a leader there are other more technical things that can help you create a strong team within your organization. Things like..

Knowledge

While it is prudent when it comes to promoting your business to concentrate on a few methods that give you the best results and try to master them, you should also have a general knowledge of whatever else is out there. Keep your eyes open on what’s on the “market” and what’s available. What other techniques and methods exist that someone can use for advertising, promotion and lead generation.

It is possible that what you are using may not suit someone you sponsor or may not be confident using them. You should be able to guide them to techniques which may be more suitable for them and point them to places and courses where they can learn how to use them.

Training

Don’t leave everything on the shoulders of the company. You should get initiatives and accept the responsibility of further training the members of your network. Analyze the methods that you use to their smallest detail and write guides with step by step instructions. Don’t leave anything open to assumptions and interpretations, your instructions should be crystal clear and cover the smallest detail.

If you do that in that manner it would be more easy for others to learn your prospecting methods and follow them successfully.

If you have an extended network in many parts of the country or the world, hold conference calls regularly for training purposes.

Don’t only teach them, but held them accountable for applying what they learn. Assign homework and check with them their results and progress. Put with them a plan to follow with a schedule attached and have them sign it. That way you create commitment from their part and you increase the chances to follow the plan. A better idea would be to have them commit themselves to follow it in front of the whole group. That way you create a much stronger urge to them to keep up with their promises.

Besides the training aspect, also hold conference calls with the purpose of giving support, encouragement and motivation to each other. Something similar to a master mind group.

Be Available

Not necessary all the time, since it may hurt your productivity the continuous distractions, but set aside some hours that you would be available for discussions or questions. Preferably two different periods of the day so to suit members living in different time zones or countries. Have your messenger or skype open that hours or your ears open to hear the phone ring.

Give Them Help

But don’t try to build their business for them yourself. Remember, this is a business and not a welfare program. You may be needed to help them closing a prospect, give them directions, sharing your expertise with them or similar things. Make sure that you are always there when they need you.

Inspire and Motivate them

To be able to do it better you should know their why. What is the basic underlying emotion that drives them to undertake the risks of starting a home based MLM business. Sometimes motivation can be nothing more than to simple remind them why they are already doing it.

As about inspiration, you need to open their mind to the endless possibilities that they exist in everything in life. All the possible avenues that someone can follow, all the different routes and paths with their own scenery, magic and charm. All so different and unique, but somehow miraculously leading to the same destination you dared to dream when you were embarking on your journey.
