Travel MLM

June 16th, 2008 | by Chris |

No doubt the travel industry is one of the biggest, making trillions of dollars and one of the fastest growing ones. If you put into the picture the developing countries where there is a middle class that is expanding fast and wages increasing even faster and that some of that extra disposable income would go towards the vacation industry, we are talking about huge growth in the next years. Of course MLM companies have entered that field years ago and today many of them exist that do business.

The increased number of them in operation gives many choices to distributors that want to participate in their business model and start marketing their vacation products and the travel business opportunity. Their sign up fees can range from a few hundred dollars to a few thousand and their models vary. In some you becoming a sort of agent for them booking and selling vacation programs while others use the model of timesharing.

Of course they offer a great range on quality from the lowest to luxurious packets and on prices from dirt cheap to high end trips and accommodation. Also in the travel MLM industry someone can find from mature network marketing companies that operate for years to new start ups with all the risks associated with a new opportunity.

There are even many individuals, usually of high net worth, who participate in the travel program as distributors only to get discounts as they travel a lot during the year and tax cuts as home based business owners.

If you consider joining a vacation MLM as a travel agent interested in the opportunity part of the business, besides the usual and necessary due diligence you have to perform on the company, you have to select carefully with whom you get into this business. You need to select carefully your sponsor.

Why you need to do this?

Well, because that programs are high-end as they are called in the multi level marketing business as they require a lot of money to sign up as an agent or “franchisee”. A substantial part of that amount you pay goes to your upline as a commission for selling you the “franchise”.

The problem with that tactic is that many people get into these MLM companies as members only for that commissions without caring about building a team or a network of distributors. In short after the sale is closed seldom you hear from them as they are busy chasing the next prospect.

If you are serious about your work at home endeavor you need someone to help you and guide you and that’s why is better to avoid people doing what I described. Make sure your sponsor would be there for you after you join and pay and he won’t vanish.

Some of the most famous travel MLM companies you can find in the list below. But be aware that we don’t endorse any of the following opportunities and if you want to join any of them perform your own due diligence and seek an appropriate sponsor.
