When you want to join a new MLM company and you try to evaluate it there are a lot of things that someone can look for that we covered previously. However something that many forget is to take a look at company’s policies and procedures. It’s not the most important thing, actually it plays no role to the companies success or longevity, but nevertheless you must place equal importance to it because it directly affects you.

In that section the company basically tells you what you can do and what you can’t plus their responsibilities as company to you the distributor. As it is natural, like the terms when you take a loan from a bank is set as to give the maximum protection to the bank and cover them in any case, likewise network marketing companies put terms that in any case they put them on the safe side and protect them from any possible claims from distributors.

Of course that doesn’t mean you don’t have to pay attention to them, as sometimes they may be too arbitrary to the companies favor that it is too much for someone to accept them. Sometimes they may state that they can terminate their relationship with any distributor for any reason. Although rare, there are some cases of members in MLM opportunities that have this happen to them for no apparent reason without them being able to do anything about it due to the policies and procedures stating that were allowing the company to do so

Furthermore, some companies may restrict some forms of marketing or advertising or put various limitations that make your job more difficult. Of course such limitations wasn’t put there just to make your life harder, in most cases it is to protect the company and other distributors from possible problems if someone start using deceptive tactics and make false claims. But some times in their effort to discourage and stop such practices, companies may go to the other side of putting too many restrictions. In such cases it may better for you to choose another company that can give you more freedom of choice.
