Funded Proposal in Network Marketing

A very good way to grow your MLM business and downline is that of using what is called a funded proposal. It is nothing more than using a product or in most cases an info-product like an ebook in the front-end and then trying to convince those customers to join your opportunity which is the back-end product as it called in the Internet marketing argot.

But what are the benefits of using such a method?

Well, first of all, in essence the funded proposal is a lead generation method with a twist. The twist is that you pay nothing for generating leads and in some cases you may end with a profit, too. That is possible due to the front product that you are trying to sell.

For example, let’s suppose that you are trying to sell an e-book with information on network marketing that you sell for $20 and you keep all the profit. Each time someone buys it it enters your autoresponder as a subscriber that you follow up with him with pre-written emails with the purpose to convert him to a distributor. Now if you use let’s say Google Adwords to advertise that ebook and for every customer you pay $20 in advertising, you are getting even. You get cost-free leads in your autoresponder. If you are good at this and you spend only $15 for advertising now you are earning $5 for every lead and you end up with a profit.

Of course, it can also work the other way round and lose money, but you have to keep in mind that you generate your own top quality and qualified leads, since they exhibited an interest by buying what you were offering, and may worth to even lose some money for them.

Do you have to create your own info-product?

Obviously creating your own one and setting up your own marketing system gives you many advantages. One of them is that you are the only one selling it so you don’t have to compete with others or, why not, use an affiliate network like clickbank or paydotcom and have others promote for you on a commission.

But on the other hand for the lazy ones or those afraid to start on their own there are many ready solutions in the market with the most famous of them the magnetic sponsoring from Mike Dillard and the renegade network marketer from Ann Sieg.

Using ready made systems like that have their advantages like no effort required from your part, but also their disadvantages like becoming a lead for someone else trying to convince you to join his multilevel marketing opportunity and having to compete with hundreds of others selling the same product online.
