Start Managing your Online MLM Business
October 27th, 2008 | by Chris |If you are building an online MLM business there are a lot of things that you should take care of regularly in order to see it expand. It is a more “technical” field that requires some work to be done, from maintaining your websites and add regularly content to them to communicating with your prospects. As you understand all of these take time and especially when your network marketing home business reaches a mature level, besides giving you more money it would become more time consuming too.
At such times you have to stop working your business and start managing it. You have to find the most time consuming and intense labor tasks and outsource them to others. That way you can effectively concentrate on the things that you are good at doing and bring more value to your Internet MLM home business.
Although many people do understand this and they see the logic behind it and how beneficial can be to their business, when that critical moment comes that they can no longer keep working and keep getting busy and see it expanding, only a few follow that advice. Most network marketers still are trying to squeeze some more work into their schedule than start delegating some tasks to third parties.
But why is this happening? What keeps people from moving to the next level?
According to Jazz Lai in his networking marketing blog it is the typical syndrome that many bosses and CEOs in the business world are facing. They have the mentality that they are the better suited to do the job than anyone else. They believe that others won’t do it as good as they could and you can often hear them saying, if you want something to be done you better do it yourself.
Fortunately that’s not true. There are many people in the market that are more qualified than you to do any task that your online MLM business requires and many times much better than you.
In order to become a true businessman you have to overcome that syndrome and take the first steps to outsourcing some of your activities. Start small in the beginning and then outsource some more as you get more confident that other people can do the work for you as you wanted. Of course in the beginning you have to test the waters as not everyone can do the job as you want and you may need to test some people before you find those qualified and competent enough to give you the results you want.
That is also and the more dangerous stage. If in your first attempts to delegate some of the work of your MLM business you don’t get the results you want from those you hire, there is the risk to get disappointed and forget outsourcing altogether once and for all. After that experience it would be much more difficult to rethink and try the delegation concept once again.
Of course that doesn’t mean that outsourcing doesn’t work or that is useless in your case. It only means that those you chose for the work wasn’t the right ones for your business. The problem is not on the concept but how you applied it. Some can do it correctly from the beginning while others have to go through a period of error and trial before they can learn how to do it correctly.
Dealing with other people is not the easiest thing in the world to do, but hey, you are in multilevel marketing, that is what your business is all about. It is about dealing with other people. Because you moved online that didn’t changed anything, only the form of communication.

Part of your personal development as a leader and businessman is to learn how to deal with people in order to help your home business grow and manage it effectively. Unless you get your business to that point you are nothing else but still a self-employed. If you really want to pass to the other side of Robert Kiyosaki’s cash-flow quadrant, where businessman and investors reside, you have to take care of that aspect of your business as soon as possible.
After all it’s a pity in a business model that teaches people how to pass to the right side of the cash-flow quadrant some to stubbornly insist on staying on the left one and delaying their passage.
